heavy machinery

Our big pre-baby task has been sorting out the garden. This has been a lot more fun than the woodchip stripping inside!

Here we are painting the rendering - Tristan does the pictures (this is papa apparently) and I cover them over!
Tristan's favourite day so far in his life was when we hired a digger. He was so excited and there was no way to get him out of it (although this way he was a convenient excuse whenever the digging went a bit too far and we lost a bit of tree, shed or fence - as happened frequently!).

After the digging then it was the turn of the rotivator - this is all in aim of a future flat and turfed garden. Uncle Richard (and even grandma) doing the digging. WE needed 1 skip plus 4 big bags to take away all the excess soil. Tristan was quite upset not to have found treasure (he didn't count worms and broken glass as treasure)!

Tristan helped out too with his range of diggers and lifters.

... the end result (turf to do and we need to work out how to do the step to the now tiered top section of the garden.
