We went to France for a few days just at the limit of when I was allowed to fly. I was a bit worried that we might be delayed there (everyone seems to have chickenpox at the moment and you're not allowed to fly for 6 days when you get it!) - our suitcase was half full of medicine and the other half make-up - fortunately the only spots we got were a result of the mosquitoes!

Tristan got to have two rides on Pauly the pony - same name (and appetite for grass) as the Pauly from last year but this one was 'Pauly blanc' - convenient!
Tristan really loved the beach this time and there was no hint of boredom. This is him pretending to be a plane - he went up on his tip toes to illustrate when he was in the air and on flat feet again to show when he was landing and taking off!
He loved the rockpools (only 1 crab) and throwing stones into the water also chanting, 'j'ai pas peur de la mer' at the sea as he ran away from the tide - before inevitably falling over! The weather was great so we got to eat outside for every meal - Tristan even tried mussels (he ate 2 of them and seemed to like them) and oysters (he spat it out - I was so proud!). I was a bit stuck with lots of things off the menu so ended up making up for the lack of seafood and chocolate mouse by extra pain au chocolate (I'm enormous anyway!).
Papi and mami came for the last day an a half of the holiday bringing lots of food and additional diy equipment (although for once we didn't have much to do) - and beating us at cards for the first time!

Richard did the cake, Rachael the organising and we were on the entertainment (the cake was by far and away the most photogenic and tasty of these three areas!). The weekend involved lots of swimming, eating, catching up with family and pampering.
