Snow

We didn't really have much - as you can see by how much snow had to scraped from the ground to make this impressively statuesque snowman (Tristan's first!). I was away in Manchester and feared I would be snowed in (or snowed out away from Manu and Tristan) but no such luck it was picturesque at best!

A bit more fell a week later but nothing to stop traffic or (fortunately) creche.

...perhaps I'll add more to this page if we get more snow but otherwise I think that's our lot this year!

camera

These are pictures taken at New Year on Tristan's new camera - it has taken me a few weeks to refind the box and cables for downloading. Tristan did take most of them (although about 60% were blurry pictures of fingers and walls - thank goodness for digital!) but I think his dad had more fun seeing how he could corrupt them - poor Tristan hardly got a look in!

Could form the basis of a caption competition...

Concert

Tristan went to what probably counts as his first concert - Mini Notelets a 6 piece educative orchestra. There was lots of interaction ranging from musical statues (shown here) to 'Old MacDonald had a band'.
He got to try out some instruments too - he managed to get a note from a full sized trombone and some very cat-like sounds from a violin. His favourites were the trumpet and saxophone (he seems t like shiny things!)

We also took Tristan to the cinema for the first time to see 'Puss in Boots'. He loved it (much more than the classical music!) and it was quite nice to go to see something vaguely adult too.
