It's spring: the flowers are coming out!

We have an agreement never ever to do wallpapering (after we almost divorced over it in the last house!). We realised that as we were so decisioned out (from questions about plug socket height and other fascinating things) we had inadvertently turned out main rooms into a shrine for beige! that had to change so we enlisted (with bribery of Tristan's cuddles and lunch) our old neighbour Roger to come and brighten the place up a bit...

The first strip.

Coming to the end with Tristan doing a bit of semi-naked scooting around (enjoying the new hazards everywhere!)

...and the final result - a sea of some kind of red flowers (need mum to visit to tell us what type!).

Downstairs loo

(well about a week away from being fully useable!).

The sink works, the loo leaks, the archetrave round the door (hidden from view) needs to be replaced and the wall patched up), its not been grouted and a wall needs about 3 more coats of paint - still it looks more like a room with a purpose (compare to DIY progress to see a bit of before!)
